We're pleased to welcome you to Germantown Parkway Animal Hospital! Below, you'll find the details you need to know for your pet's first appointment at our Cordova animal hospital.
Your First Visit: What to Expect
During your first appointment with us, our team will get acquainted with you and your pet, and we'll welcome you into the Germantown Parkway Animal Hospital family!
Step 1
Get Settled In
On the day of the appointment, please arrive about 10 minutes early to fill out a New Patient Form for your pet. If you'd like to get this done ahead of time, you can download the form, or complete it online, via the link below.
Step 2
Meet Your Vet & Talk About Your Pet
You and your pet will be introduced to your vet, and then we'll take you into an examination room. Here, we'll start by reviewing your pet's health history, and discussing your goals for your pet's care with you.
Step 3
'Nose to Tail' Exam
Next, we'll complete a full 'nose to tail' examination of your pet. We will thoroughly examine your pet’s skin, coat, eyes, ears, mouth and nose, legs, joints, abdomen, and anal sacs.
We will also listen to your pet’s heart and lungs with a stethoscope, and older pets may also have blood tests to check their internal systems. We will also ensure that your pet is up to date on all vaccinations or lab work.
